NORWOOD, OH — Laughter, costumes, and candy filled the air Sunday evening as families gathered at the Norwood Recreation Center for this year’s Trunk or Treat celebration. The event brought together children and parents from across the community for a safe, family-friendly night of Halloween fun.

Dozens of decorated tables lined the gym — each one transformed into a mini world of creativity, from superhero adventures to harvest themes. Volunteers handed out treats while local churches, including River City Church, joined in to  connect with families.

“This is what community looks like,” said Pastor Matt Neace of River City Church. “We love seeing neighbors come together, kids smiling, and families enjoying a fun night in a safe, welcoming place.”

The Norwood Recreation Center staff expressed gratitude to the volunteers and sponsors who made the evening possible.

As families headed home with bags full of candy and hearts full of joy, one thing was clear — Trunk or Treat has become a highlight of the Norwood fall season, a celebration of community spirit and togetherness.
